CLINICAL OBSERVATIONS OF THE POST-PARTUM HEART FAILURE

Abstract
|
|
|
Author observed 6 cases of Post-Partum Heart failure in the period of September, 1963 and December, 1964 and the observations were as follows
1) Ages of the cases renged from 24 to 32 years and 5 cases were pri nipara and only one case was multipara and recidive was found in one case.
2) Post-partum heart failure in these cases were deveroped from 3 days to 4 months after delivery.
3) Causes of these post-partum heart failure were unknown.
4) Post-partum heart failure of these cases started with acute onset and had hemoptysis in all case and there were fever in 4 cases and one case had severe upper abdominal pain.These finding suggested infarctions of the lungs and the organs of the abdominal viscera.
5) Tachcardia were found in all cases and apical systolic murmur in 2 cases, diastolic gallopin 4 cases were heard and hypertension were found in 4 cases. These findings were disappeared promptly of the successful treatment.
